Wild Soul Festival

Join naturalist Brian Wallace and herbalist/acupuncturist Dr. Elena Roemer for an exploration of the edible and medicinal plants of the Sierra Nevada. This guided walk introduces participants to many of the plants growing around us and the ecological relationships that shape their lives. Along the way, we'll discuss traditional and contemporary uses, ethical harvesting considerations, plant identification, medicinal applications, and the ways people have relied on these species for food, medicine, and connection for generations. Drawing from backgrounds in ecology, ethnobotany, herbalism, and healthcare, Brian and Elena bring together science, traditional knowledge, and direct experience to help participants develop a deeper relationship with the living landscape. No prior experience is necessary.
