This class goes in depth on foot and toe mechanics, offering exercises to strengthen and awaken our feet– our forgotten roots– that have spent too long crammed into tight shoes, walking on artificially hard, flat surfaces. We will discuss the many ways in which our feet should be able to move, and work through guided exercises to begin waking up our foundation for movement. We will then move into exercises for our wrists, necks, and shoulders that will allow us a greater range of motion and functionality that many of us lose while sitting at desks for much of our lives. Finally, we will explore different animal movements that break free of the constraints of most modern workouts, and get in touch with our wild side. Students will leave this class feeling more alive and in touch with their bodies than ever before. All levels welcome.
