SUMMARY:Hike to Shirley Canyon
DESCRIPTION:The 5 mile hike up the infamous Shirley Canyon to the top of Palisades Tram building has a moderate elevation gain\, and blessed by the cool waters of the Washeshu Creek. A local’s favorite and a first time visitor’s dream mountain hike\, offers an array of beautiful wildflowers\, plants\, critters and scenic views. Starting at the base of Palisades we take a quick walk to the trailhead\, which is directly under “Tram Face”. Then for 2.5 -3 miles we follow a mostly designated trail (some free walking and granite scurrying involved)\, along the Washeshu Creek. Plenty of spots for a quick dip and cooling off. Once we hit the start of the granite slabs\, the elevation gain is most noticeable. The hike mellows out upon approach to Shirley Lake. Shirley Lake is a great spot for a snack break and rest\, before the final ascent to the Aerial Tram Building. The final mile+ is another noticeable elevation gain\, but with every step the vistas and beauty grows. If we are lucky there may be patches of snow remaining to slide on or do your best “snow angel”. The best part of this hike is enjoying an effortless ride down on the tram\, viewing the hike and mountain from above. A full mountain experience in only a half a day.

DESCRIPTION:Join Meghan for a soulful immersion into the beauty of Shirley Canyon. This experience blends mindful hiking\, meditation\, breathwork\, and gentle movement as we move through one of Tahoe’s most stunning alpine landscapes—where rushing water\, granite cliffs\, and forest become active participants in the practice. As we walk\, we’ll pause at meaningful points along the trail to slow down\, arrive fully in the body\, and listen to the natural world around us. Near the waterfalls\, we’ll explore grounding meditation and breath practices designed to soften the nervous system\, cultivate presence\, and deepen connection to the element of water and its teachings of flow\, adaptability\, and release. For those who feel called\, there will be an optional opportunity to wade into the waterfall pools—an embodied moment of refreshment\, aliveness\, and direct connection with nature. SUMMARY:Our Forgotten Wild Roots
DESCRIPTION:This class goes in depth on foot and toe mechanics\, offering exercises to strengthen and awaken our feet– our forgotten roots– that have spent too long crammed into tight shoes\, walking on artificially hard\, flat surfaces. We will discuss the many ways in which our feet should be able to move\, and work through guided exercises to begin waking up our foundation for movement. We will then move into exercises for our wrists\, necks\, and shoulders that will allow us a greater range of motion and functionality that many of us lose while sitting at desks for much of our lives. Finally\, we will explore different animal movements that break free of the constraints of most modern workouts\, and get in touch with our wild side. SUMMARY:Hike to Shirley Canyon
DESCRIPTION:The 5 mile hike up the infamous Shirley Canyon to the top of Palisades Tram building has a moderate elevation gain\, and blessed by the cool waters of the Washeshu Creek. A local’s favorite and a first time visitor’s dream mountain hike\, offers an array of beautiful wildflowers\, plants\, critters and scenic views. Starting at the base of Palisades we take a quick walk to the trailhead\, which is directly under “Tram Face”. Then for 2.5 -3 miles we follow a mostly designated trail (some free walking and granite scurrying involved)\, along the Washeshu Creek. Plenty of spots for a quick dip and cooling off. Once we hit the start of the granite slabs\, the elevation gain is most noticeable. The hike mellows out upon approach to Shirley Lake. Shirley Lake is a great spot for a snack break and rest\, before the final ascent to the Aerial Tram Building. The final mile+ is another noticeable elevation gain\, but with every step the vistas and beauty grows. If we are lucky there may be patches of snow remaining to slide on or do your best “snow angel”. The best part of this hike is enjoying an effortless ride down on the tram\, viewing the hike and mountain from above. A full mountain experience in only a half a day.

SUMMARY:Wild Within: The Path to Belonging on the Shirley Canyon Trail
DESCRIPTION:This is a hike for anyone in relationship\, which means all of us! Whether it’s in relationship with a partner\, parent\, sibling\, child\, friend or ourselves\, relationship can often feel disconnected. There is nothing like hiking in nature to open us up and when we are open there is a greater intimacy with life. Most of us are so busy or distracted that our relationships suffer and lack the intimacy that we crave. Let us take this time to open ourselves to the beloved. This will be a moderate 2.5 mile hike up Shirley Canyon taking in the water\, the rocks\, and the woods. We will hike up in silence and find a spot to sit\, meditate\, and engage in a co-listening exercise. Co-listening is wonderful to practice with a partner or friend\, and it can also be meaningful to connect in this way with a stranger. We will then return to the trailhead\, again in silence\, yet more intimately connected with ourselves and each other. Prepare to be out for 2 hours. Hiking includes scrambling over some granite boulders\, but the creek and waterfalls are worth it. Bring water and maybe a sweatshirt to sit on.

DESCRIPTION:A breath play activation around embracing creativity\, embracing your inner child\, and grounding into the present moment with love and wisdomThe workshop begins with a introduction and walkthrough on safety. Participants will be encouraged to sit or lie down and encouaged to bring mats or blankets. We will start with a guided breath portion and do 3-4 rounds of holotropic quick breathing\, gathering momentum and energy. This builds into a release of energy as a collective yelling\, shaking\, and expression\, releasing what doesn't serve us. Then Second half is a creation meditation with a guided meditation and a relaxing and inspiring music soundtrack to help guide the participants into a state of groundedness and aliveness. DESCRIPTION:Truth Dance Project is an embodied movement experience designed to help participants drop out of the thinking mind and into the wisdom\, freedom\, and aliveness of the body. We’ll begin with grounding breath and gentle movement before building into an immersive dance journey guided by somatic prompts\, intentional facilitation\, and a carefully curated DJ set weaving together downtempo\, global rhythms\, house\, techno\, and bass. This is a space to let go of performance\, release inhibition\, take risks with expression\, and explore new ways of moving\, feeling\, and being witnessed.
